Not everyone gets to experience the sheer joy that comes with making a hole-in-one. Even fewer get to enjoy making one during U.S. Open competition. One man who can now speak to that experience is Zach Johnson.
On Sunday at the 114th U.S. Open, Johnson, out of contention for the win, put his mark on this year’s tournament. Wielding a 7-iron, Johnson ended up jarring his tee shot on the 172-yard ninth hole at Pinehurst No. 2. Following the ace, Johnson proceeded to celebrate the shot with, well, just about everyone.
Happy Father’s Day, Zach.
